Return & Refund Policy

1. Donation Policy

Better Tomorrow NGO is a charitable organization, and all donations are made voluntarily to support our humanitarian mission. We are deeply grateful for every contribution that helps us serve vulnerable communities in Sri Lanka.

2. General Refund Policy

As a non-profit organization, donations are generally non-refundable once processed. This is because:

• Donations are immediately allocated to ongoing programs and initiatives
• Funds may have already been committed to beneficiaries
• Administrative costs associated with processing refunds reduce funds available for charitable work

3. Exceptions for Refunds

We may consider refund requests under the following exceptional circumstances:

• Duplicate donations: If your payment was accidentally processed more than once
• Incorrect amounts: If you were charged an amount different from what you intended to donate
• Unauthorized transactions: If a donation was made without your consent or through fraudulent activity
• Technical errors: If a system error resulted in an unintended transaction

4. Refund Request Process

To request a refund, please follow these steps:

1. Contact us within 30 days of the donation date
2. Provide your full name and contact information
3. Include the donation amount and date
4. Provide transaction reference or receipt number
5. Explain the reason for your refund request

All refund requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. We aim to respond to all requests within 7-10 business days.

5. Refund Processing

If your refund request is approved:

• Refunds will be processed to the original payment method
• Processing time may take 5-14 business days depending on your bank
• You will receive email confirmation once the refund is processed

6. Recurring Donations

For recurring (monthly) donations:

• You may cancel your recurring donation at any time by contacting us
• Cancellation will take effect before the next scheduled payment
• Previously processed recurring payments are subject to our standard refund policy

7. Merchandise & Event Tickets

For purchases of merchandise or event tickets:

• Merchandise may be returned within 14 days in original condition for a full refund
• Event tickets are non-refundable but may be transferable to another person
• If an event is cancelled, full refunds will be provided automatically

8. Tax Implications

Please note that if you have claimed a tax deduction for a donation that is later refunded, you may need to adjust your tax records accordingly. We recommend consulting with a tax professional regarding any tax implications.
